Pineapple Inn to The Breakers

This project, Pineapple Inn to The Breakers, visually tracks the pedestrian perspective from The Pineapple Inn to The Breakers, crossing the city from a motel to the grandest of Newport's famed summer "cottages,". The mansion, now a national historic landmark, was built and owned by the Vanderbilt family. The Pineapple Inn is a local Motel, an anonymous, plain, banal structure, with no ties to historic figures or elite standards, the perfect candidate for a neutral start.
